What is the space rent?
Space rent averages $340 a month depending on your space size. You will not find a more afforable rate for the quality of living in Vancouver. To compare with other local manufactured communities in the area, follow this link.
Can I rent a home?
No, all of the homes in Mobile Retreat are owner-occupied. We DO NOT RENT homes, just the space they're on — and our space rent is one of the lowest in the area. Mobile Retreat is an interactive community that combines affordable living with home ownership.
Do you allow RVs?
Sorry, we are a community of permanent manufactured homes. No temporary RVs are allowed.
What is a 55+ park?
The Housing for Older Persons Act allows communities to shape their identities through age requirements. Mobile Retreat is a 55-and-older community, which means at least one resident of each household must be at least 55 years of age. No children under age 18 are allowed to live at Mobile Retreat.
How do I get to Mobile Retreat?
From Interstate 5, take Exit 7, which puts you on 134th Street. Head east on 134th for 0.4 miles to 10th Avenue and take a right. Mobile Retreat will be on your right. The entrance is Knowles Drive. Mobile Retreat is only 15 minutes from Portland. For an aerial view, click here.
Is there any chance your park will close?
No, and we back it up. If you purchase a new home through Mobile Retreat, LLC you will receive a no-closure guarantee. If we close the park during your lifetime, we will buy your home back at the assessed value, or pay to have it moved and set up in any community in Washington. Your choice. Guaranteed in writing. Of course, it's easy to make this promise because we're never going to close Mobile Retreat.
What size homes can you accommodate?
Mobile Retreat allows both single and doublewide manufactured homes, although there presently aren't any vacant spaces. We soon will have one used home for sale. Call us at 503-230-0512 for details.
Do you allow children and pets?
Because Mobile Retreat is a 55+ community, children are not permitted to live in the park permanently, but we love it when they visit. Pets are allowed under certain conditions. Dogs must be less than 25 pounds at maturity. Cats are welcome.
If I apply for a space, do you run a credit check?
Yes. Prospective residents must fill out an application. We look for residents with good credit, but you don't necessarily have to have perfect credit.
Do you have homes for sale?
At any given time, there's usually one or two homes for sale at Mobile Retreat. We soon will have one used home for sale.
